Hi, I’m Katey Lauren. A Yorkshire based artist who explores quiet moments in architecture and nature through color, light, and simplified form. My main media is water-soluble oils on canvas, creating in a range of sizes, with a limited palette, and a lot of mixing. 

My work focuses on architectural details and natural elements drawn from everyday environments. By isolating fragments of place such as rooftops, balconies, foliage, and flowers, I create compositions that emphasise colour, structure, and stillness. Rather than documenting a scene exactly as it appears, I use simplification and selective focus to shape a quiet, reflective atmosphere. I invite the viewer with my work, to pause and take a breath, noticing the small details and moments of peace, often overlooked within ordinary spaces.
